Yes, in understand that it could be blocked in a number of ways, but so could mesh networks too.

Just replace HTTP with the peer-to-peer network. You don't need to lose the whole platform.

Every single thing you add increasing the bandwidth, overhead, surface space for security, code to maintain, etc.

So, being a decentralized web enthusiast (per your profile) what why focus on reproducing the whole web, to start, the web was just a simple layout, text, web links, and people links (mailto).

We're not reproducing the Web, we're improving it. The Web is well-known by devs and users, has lots of tooling, and has all the features I'd want from a p2p applications platform. It just needs the p2p. The question to ask is, why would abandon something that is already so close to what we want?

Web is a massive set of code, much of which is built around are the things that are wrong with the web today; for example, any native support for "cookie" like tech for starters.
